Other attractions

According to me the nightlife, Spanish food and arrangement Madrid can also be considered as Madrid's main attractions. I came across two very beautiful accomodations. Hotel Gran Atlanta was one of them. Situated close to the new ministeries and Torre de Picasso, it offered 180 air conditioned rooms with all the modern facilities. Hotel Meninas, located in the center of Madrid. Hotels in Durbuy are not as beautiful as this one. A historic building of 19th century, was refurbished and turned into an accomodation, offering comfortable and attractive dining room for buffet breakfast, a welcoming bar with lounge and business corner centre and two small and functional meeting rooms along with comfortable bed rooms.

One thing I learned during my stay in Madrid is to carry small change before boarding buses or taxis. First time visitors to the city might also find that Spainsh people eat lunch and dinner much later than the English or most other Europeans. So, I dined in the resturants of Madrid mostly after 10.00pm. I also enjoyed a beautiful theatre and opera show. My advice to all the travellers is to include all these experiences in the list of attractions of Madrid.

Visting Barcelona and Seville

Staying in a réserver hôtel Barcelone and then a trip to Seville was a part of my visit to Madrid. Barcelona, the second largest city has a wealth of tourist attractions, that makes it popular. My hotel in Barcelona center was placed in the center of the city. So, I could easily reach the markets, shops, museums and churches and other attractions of the city very easily. I was charmed to find the well preserved history and culture of the city. Some of the sights that I visited during my stay include Montjuïc Castle, Plaça d'Espanya, Güell Park, Sagrada Família, Las Ramblas, Museu de Ceramica, Picasso Museum and Barcelona Zoo. One of the fascinating places I visited during my citytrip Barcelona is Maremagnum, a nice shopping mall by the sea at the end of Ramblas. How can I forget to mention La Boqueria, the large public market with a diverse range of goods and produce?

Located on the south of Spain, Sevilla would remain one of my favourite tourist destinations. I enjoyed a very comfortable stay in one of the hôtels Seville. The cathedral in Seville is one of the biggest in the world. I also liked visiting Alcázar, a fortress from the Muslim-era. Some other sigths that I visited during my visit to hotels Sevilla include Plaza de España, Antigua Fábrica de Tabacos, Seville’s Bullring, Street of the Snakes and the Town Hall. All such sights make Seville a great city to visit. During my stay in Sevilla hotels, I enjoyed a Bullfight match as well.

Lisbon

Hotel York House gave me a very grand welcome. I booked the hôtel à Lisbonne centre in advance as my visit was during the high touirst season. Housed in a classic 18th century building, this establishment offered me a room equipped with TV, telephone, air conditioning and full bathroom. Lisbon offers many other comfortable hotel in Lisbon Portugal that can make a stay in the city an amazing experience. The capital of Portugal is known all over the world for its fascinating attractions and cultural heritage. I started sightseeing by visiting some of the museums of ancient and modern art. Other sights that I visited include St. George's Castle, Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Coach Museum, Jardim Zoológico and Lisbon Botanical Garden. A walk along the Alfama district many historic highlights. During my vacation in hotel Lisboa, I enjoyed shopping in Baixa, the old shopping district in the city. Traveler of any taste would love the food offered in the cafes and resturants in Lisbon like I did. One of my favourite eateries was Café Buenos Aires. Those who like to enjoy meals in a beautiful ambience, should take a trip to district Bairro Alto.
