Visit to the city

I planned a stay in hotel specials Madrid, to enjoy the city's great cultural and historic heritage. On reaching the city, I found numerous striking attractions as well as the some of the liveliest nightlives in the world. I have heard most of the travellers consider this capital and largest city of Spain, to be very fascinating. I agreed after spending few days in hôtel Madrid offre. Though Madrid doesn't have as much architectural highlights as Barcelona, it is no doubt worth exploring. Anyone would love to take in the charming atmosphere of the city, like I did. In the short, I would term the city to be 'very spirited'.

Local and tourists spending weekendje Madrid like the city for various reasons. After dumping my bags in the Madrid Hotels, I booked for my stay, the first thing I did was to experience some live flamenco at one of the city's best flamenco resturants. I knew once I start exploring the attractions in Madrid, I might not get enough time for such things. It was followed by a stroll along the city center. I noticed that Madrid has a great economic output, standard of living, and market size. No doubt it is considered the major financial center of the Iberian Peninsula. What fascinated me most was that the modern infrustructure of the city has very well preserved the feel of the past. I could only wait eagerly for the next day to take a closer look at all of them.

After enjoying a relaxing night's stay in Hotel Claridge, I prepared myself for the day ahead. My dormir en Madrid, located in Plaza del Conde de Casal shopping area, helped me enjoy easy access to city centre and the old town. The main museums and the AVE train station was also located nearby. My room offered all the comforts and I could also enjoy WIFI internet connection. I planned to take the help of a tourist guide, who could take me around the museums, art galleries and palaces, step by step as well as provide me useful information about all of them.

During my stay in hotel en Madrid, I started sightseeing from the Prado Museum, one of the most famous art museums. I was very impressed to see some of the masterpieces from the 12th to the 19th century. I passed about half a day in this attraction in Madrid and then moved towards Reina Sofia Museum. Tourists enjoying sleep in Madrid know it to be a part of Madrid’s ‘Golden Triangle’ of famous museums and are fascinated by it for housing important collection of 20th and 21st century art. Picasso’s famous Guernica, was my favourite. My sightseeing for the day ended with a trip to the Palacio Real, an enormous and imposing building constructed during the 18th and 19th centuries. Attractions in Damme are not so impressive.

I stopped in Plaza Mayor more than two times it being one of the main attractions in Madrid. Fountain of Fame, St. Anton's Convent, Real Jardín Botánico, Escorial Monastery and Palace and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum were the other sights I visited. How could I miss spending time in Retiro park? Taking out some time, I also didn't miss the opportunity of buying FC Barcelona tickets.

Other attractions

According to me the nightlife, Spanish food and arrangement Madrid can also be considered as Madrid's main attractions. I came across two very beautiful accomodations. Hotel Gran Atlanta was one of them. Situated close to the new ministeries and Torre de Picasso, it offered 180 air conditioned rooms with all the modern facilities. Hotel Meninas, located in the center of Madrid. Hotels in Durbuy are not as beautiful as this one. A historic building of 19th century, was refurbished and turned into an accomodation, offering comfortable and attractive dining room for buffet breakfast, a welcoming bar with lounge and business corner centre and two small and functional meeting rooms along with comfortable bed rooms.

One thing I learned during my stay in Madrid is to carry small change before boarding buses or taxis. First time visitors to the city might also find that Spainsh people eat lunch and dinner much later than the English or most other Europeans. So, I dined in the resturants of Madrid mostly after 10.00pm. I also enjoyed a beautiful theatre and opera show. My advice to all the travellers is to include all these experiences in the list of attractions of Madrid.

One of the fascinating places I visited during my citytrip Barcelona is Maremagnum, a nice shopping mall by the sea at the end of Ramblas. How can I forget to mention La Boqueria, the large public market with a diverse range of goods and produce?

Located on the south of Spain, Sevilla would remain one of my favourite tourist destinations. I enjoyed a very comfortable stay in one of the hôtels Seville.
